Escovitch fish is a classic Jamaican dish, eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s fried snapper with the tang of vinegar and crunchy vegetables, all in a lush sauce spiked with garlic and the heat of Scotch bonnet peppers.

Join guest chef Chanice Fish, chef/owner of Taste of the Caribbean in Newark, NJ, for this livestream cooking class where you’ll embrace this beloved Jamaican dish. Along with escovitch fish, you’ll also make Jamaican bammy, a classic cassava flatbread soaked in coconut milk and served alongside.
Chanice will show you how to serve the snapper with vegetables and escavitch sauce, with bammy on the side. This is a class for anyone who loves the flavors and culture of Jamaica, a cuisine of bold, lively flavors, contrasting textures, warmth and generosity.
