Learn to be the ultimate Party-Master!
Each day of this week-long camp you'll learn how to throw a different kind of party for your friends, including finger foods, drinks, dinner and dessert. You'll make - and EAT! - all the food for your party, plus make invitations/decorations, play games, listen to music, and have more fun. Every day is a PARTY!
Monday: Mexican Fiesta
Tacos, guacamole, pico de gallo, and a sweet treat for dessert, plus fizzy mint-limeade to sip. Listen to fiesta music, make Mexican-themed skulls and other decorations, and play games.
Tuesday: Sleepover Madness
We'll throw a sleepover party for ourselves without the sleeping over part! :) We'll make peach lemonade and pizzas for "dinner", then hot chocolate affogatos for dessert, followed by pancakes for "breakfast." Listen to party music, tell ghost stories and watch a short flick.
Wednesday: Picnic Party
We're having a picnic! We'll make fried chicken and other picnic foods, then take it all outside and sip some homemade lemonade while we listen to some tunes and play picnic games like 3-legged races and more.
Thursday: Sushi Party
We'll make miso soup, sushi rolls and edamame, and learn to use a knife to cut oranges for dessert just like they do in a Japanese restaurant. We'll make our own Japanese soda and listen to Japanese pop music while we make some origami and have fun.
Friday: French Soiree
Ooh-la-la! We'll drink bubbly drinks in fancy glasses as we make and eat delicious French food such as chicken with 40 cloves of garlic, ratatouille and a chocolate souffle or fruit galette for dessert.
All food, supplies and equipment is included. Feel free to bring your phone or other device to snap and share pics of what you make. It's a party!
Adventure Kitchen camps are not allergen-free, but we work hard to accommodate everyone and can often make adjustments as needed. If you have questions about your child's particular food sensitivity, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adventure Kitchen camps are great for adventurous and not-so-adventurous eaters alike! Foodie kids will have much to pique their palates, but we never force or pressure kids to taste anything they don't want to try. No shame! Adventure Kitchen is all about joyfully encountering food as a means of discovery and connection, and there is usually something for everyone as we have fun exploring the world of food around us.
Camp will be led by Lynley Jones, owner and creator of Adventure Kitchen, along with an adult assistant with experience working with food and children. Lynley is certified in First Aid and CPR.
Lunch is provided, and we'll post status and pics each day on social media, so parents can follow along:
